I've noticed that since owning the Monster it attracts far more interest and admiring looks from the non biking public than any other bike which I've owned. People stop and look at it and make obviously admiring comments. Two blokes were even taking even photographs of it when it was parked up yesterday outside the pub by the canal junction at Fradley Junction, near Lichfield Staffordshire! I was watching from about 100 feet away. This is the first Ducati I've owned.

Do you find your bike attracts a lot of interest from non bikers, is it Monsters in particular or all Ducatis which attract attention?

I've noticed it too, specifically when at traffic lights pedestrians and drivers tend to look, give thumbs up etc

Strangely the Monster doesn't get a great deal of attention. The butt ugly ST4s gets loads, no idea why, maybe cos it's bright yellow. Get lots of none bikers gasping and nodding at a 10 year old touring bike. Weird.

Sadly my sparkly monster was not finished in time for the Whistable easter egg run so i had to take the multistroodle.:o
It was a lovely sunny day and hundreds (5-6 hundred) bikes turned out for a great run to drop off loads of eggs :woot:

Italian bikes are still in the minority so they're certain to attract the glances. :)

The chavs at my local co-op seem to really like mine! I don't know what they says. I do get good comments from bikers and one girl said it was cute last week, I wasn't happy about that.

My evo gets lots of attention. I think the fact that it's black helps, because people take a 'double take' when they notice the brand name on the tank, and then come closer for a better look. I get thumbs-ups and admiring glances at traffic light.

I think its a Ducati thing ... blingy or bright ones catch the eye.... stealth ones get overlooked :p

You'll get used to it

Scientist refer to it as "Proper bike syndrome"

All my Ducati's get a lot of attention, the 996 the most. I used to come back to people taking photos of it. It was a 2002 12,000 miles, terms, bright red, immmaculate condition, indi's hidden inside the bodywork etc etc AAAAAahhhhhh why did I sell it !!

My 996 used to get no end of attention from bikers and non bikers alike much to the annoyance of my other half :)

Most people loved the noise, even the neighbors commented how much they liked the sound which was great as Hannah thought they were going to complain.

People do get excited by Monsters, generally because they look like an engine with a seat and bars attached with not a lot else. People cannot believe how short the back end of the bike is with the rear wheel hanging out so far.

The most excited person so far has been a very well versed bike mechanic who described it as motorcycling 'soul'. Sum's it up pretty nicely.

Personally, I find if your riding Italian because of the look and noise people notice.
If i'm out on either my Monster or Guzzi, I will attract attention, either on the open road or in town.
