Hi all,

As last year, a few of us will be riding from the Kent area to Box Hill to meet with some of the Surrey guys to ride down to Pietros.
I propose a meet at Mickeys Diner(A229 North of Maidstone) at 0700, to leave at 0710. Then ride to Wrotham for 0720 to leave there at 0730 for Box Hill. We should be at Box Hill for about 0810-0815 for their suggested 0830 departure?

I now it's an early start, what do you guys think?

The weather's looking chilly but dry, a bit different to last years heat wave! Hope to see some of you at the various places on route, if not catch up in Horsham!

I'll be heading straight to Motori di Marino, seeing as I'm coming from the opposite direction from Kent!

Maybe see you in Horsham.

Nick,

I will see you at Rykas, if at all.

I cleaned the Monster yesterday, no water involved, and now the bike is completely dead.

I will check the connections Tuesday evening, then purchase a batteryif required on Wed for a delivery if possible on Thursday.

Therefore you may or may not see me on Friday.

Regardless, I hope you all have a great day.

Not good, but it sounds more like you've dislodged something if it was ok before? If it's totally dead, check all the connectors/battery leads and earths/kill switch and ignition switch. It must be something simple!

Did you leave ignition on park by mistake?

A few have done that before and completely drained the battery

I'm riding back from Silverstone that day so I won't be about I'm afraid.

Will see you guys at either: Motori di Marino, Hop Oast or in Horsham. Fingers crossed for decent weather...

May have left in park, but cannot be sure, thanks anyway.

Battery terminals all tight, but have just measured on 4.4volts with the battery disconnected, so it looks like the battery is the problem, especially as I have the bike hooked upto an Optimate 4 since I brought the bike last October.

Hopefully I can pick-up a battery before Thursday and hope that solves the problem.

Thanks again chaps.

If it's the same battery as the SS range I've got a spare sat charged in my workshop if you want to use it to test the bike, or until you sort another one out, no rush to get it back.

Fozzie, I've had it on the Optimate over night if you want it, I can be home tonight and all day tomorrow if you want to collect it? I'll message you my phone number.

All ok at present Nick, I will explain findings when we meet. Many thanks for offer though, a nice gesture and much appreciated.

I have hopefully sent a reply to your pm, but not confident this has been sent.

Enjoy the sunrise Grumpy, BBC's stating it's at 06:25, followed by sunny skies. Gonna be a chilly start, so ride safe and look forward to that coffee at Ryka's Café 07:30ish {brrr}...
