Can the wee covers on the levers be removed and replaced without any bleeding etc. Mine on my 98 750 need painted but didnt want to take them off if its a hassle

I'd have thought you should be fine, but take care to cover them well to stop any ingress of dust and moisture. A job probably best done on a warm day.

If its like the one on the Tuono front break then yes you can remove it to paint it.

I simply gave mine a quick coat of Nitromors, washed that off and wafted it over with some BBQ paint from Wilko's = job done

Staff has a good point

You could cover open reservoirs with cling film to protect them

Or.......
Since the fluid will attack the new paint sooner or later, you could fit some aftermarket anodised ones, without spending a lot of cash.
Or......
Grind off the writing and polish them...?
