carbon solo seat unit

Hi all,

For sale is a solo seat. Bought on here last year (if my memory's working right it was from Char) at £300, I'm wanting to get the same back really. The main reason that I stopped using it was that I modified a standard seat to stop this one getting damaged over winter - ended up prefering it :)

It's a carbon top bolted onto to a plastic base. As far as I know it's a bit lighter than the original for those who are interested in such things, I don't know how much though! Also doesn't work with the standard side panels, you have to remove or modify them.

Generally nice and shiny although there are some slight marks on the back of it, only really visible from the right angle. I tried to take a photo of the worst of it (couple of diagonal lines if you look closely). You'll also see it has faint purple highlights painted on (not me ;)). It's not that noticeable, never looked out of place on my non-purple bike

It doesn't come with the seat lock attachment but appears to take the one from a standard seat, I've also lost the screw that holds the storage tray in place although that may turn up yet! I should mention that I had trouble fitting this using the standard lock - my bike is a slightly funny shape and all other seats are a very difficult fit too, have no reason to think it wouldn't work on a more "normal" Monster :)

Edit - forgot to mention - I don't have a box big enough to fit this in at the moment, collection would be ideal but I'll find out postage costs if asked, I live on the Leeds-Wakefield border

One final bump! Hope the description didn't put anyone off, just like to be as honest as possible :)

Happy to consider any offers, it'd be nice to have it out of the way and there's a couple of bits I'd quite like to change on the new bike...

Where did you get your mini hugger from?

Bought the hugger from someone on here probably a year ago, can't remember who. Think it was made by carbonworld.de if that's any use.

Just a warning if you get one, I had to drill 2 extra holes in the swingarm and use extra bolts to make it sit flat. A while later it cracked so I drilled the usual hole to stop it. Worked ok but it's widened into a nice split now, could well have been damaged when I bought it though
