They don't cost much from Ducati anyway, about £2.10 from memory.

Thankfully no-one has suggested a set of gaudy anodized billet aluminium ones to replace the whole lot...

Taste has been retained.

Did look at the anodized ones, but a bit too bling for me!

Any non-gaudy ones available? Had some on my 996 which looked ok as they were dark grey not red or gold etc.

But why would you do this at all? why? why?!

It's always bemused me why anyone would replace a simple rubber bung with something heavier, and that has no discernible purpose?

Thought these were about the best i could find what aren't too gaudy (the black ones), but i just can't justify the price.

Indeed, which is why I still have the rubber items

Different kettle of fish altogether.
Its not pointless bling overkill and it adds no weight.
In fact it loses the weight of the paint, if you don't laquer it.
And it adds simplicity.

Sorry to be picky over a lighthearted comment, mind you.
