I'm sure I was one of many that used the lovely weather this weekend to get out and about. What a great weekend for a bit of a refreshing ride out. It didn't matter where, it was just out. Out, out.

I took my wife for a bit of breakfast at Mickey's in Kent on my new 1100 EVO which she hasn't been on yet. I took it easy as she's used to having a ventura bum bar on the back of the S4R to stop her falling off and as yet, I haven't got one for the EVO yet (it's on order).

She liked the bike and it wasn't too bad on power whilst two up but obviously nothing like my S4R for POWER ! But that's ok. :)

So for any of you that were out yesterday, I bet you enjoyed it as much as I did. :ukm:

Oh, and on Saturday afternoon I fitted my new GPR Exhausts to the EVO too.
I didn't break them, scratch them or injure myself, which is a major achievement, and I wasn't even wearing my Beta pit-overalls.
They look really quite nice but not actually that much lighter than the originals.

They sound nice and throaty and with the baffles out they were really quite offensive.
So I let them out. :)

it was a really nice weekend for a ride, only managed a little B158 blat as rest of time was spent sorting through al the tata i have to ckearout in the garage (watch the for sale section)

still cant get over how much i still love my little S2R 800 and how much it makes me smile, even after being on much bigger bikes, still looks great (albeit winter grubby at the mo) hauls ass, handles great and sounds like the an absolute beast with the baffles out

i love my monster

gonna be hard to let her go

I did not get out for a ride but did enjoy sitting in the sun and working on putting my monster back together.
Spent ages trying to get bits to fit back into place due to the powder coating making things a little tight, but its taking shape and will be looking and sounding good for the summer.:woot:

Shame your brekkie didn't over run-into the mid-day Ducati meet at Mickey's Diner:

http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/showthread.php?t=43600

Was a good turn-out with bikes into multiple figures covering many models new & classic. Weather was lovely both ways - although it cooled off rapidly later on. Had an interesting detour around Tunbridge Wells due to the half marathon - through Penshurt, so was able try a route I'd been thinking about. Hopefully the start to the warmer riding days...

I knew you other Ducati guys were going to be there but didn't want to hang around longer after breakfast. Sounds like the usual good turnout though.

It was indeed a top weekend with the weather playing its part to perfection.
No riding unfortunately as they're all on SORN, but with a Welsh win and a load of essential maintenance done on the bikes on Sunday Liz and I did find time on Saturday to do this.

Spent the day at my desk with my head in my hands wondering why I ever chose to become an architect and moreso if its too late to change my mind. Still, nothing new there, same as the last 7 years and the same to come for the next 4 months. Joy.

And no. I didnt get to ride in the sunshine. Rub it in why dont you. :banghead:

Enjoyed my first ride out on the EVO with the Remus exhaust ............ bike seems to 'hesitate' a bit at lower, constant speeds but small price to pay for that sound and looks. Chuffed !! I heard somewhere its going to be 25 degrees in March.

With a freshly serviced bike the temptation proved too great. After meeting the DOC boys, I had every intention of going up to the Ace for the Flat Track Day, but the prospect off hacking through London on such a gorgeous day didn't seem so appealing as bimbling round the beautiful (and deserted) lanes of Kent. Needless to say Kent won.

Sunday evening I played badminton for 2 hours - 1st time I've picked a racquet up in 10 years

Today I am still mainly shuffling around like an old man, and hurting in places I didn't know existed

Thinking that......perhaps at next service, to be honest it's not that bad, feels like my old 1100 with termi's and the ECU. It judders at low revs compared to the standard cans which was super smooth.
