M620 output shaft

Hi Guys and Gals
I am in deep smelly stuff with the wife as I have used and abused her 620 while mine has been having surgery and I have managed to wear the output shaft from the gearbox so now the front sprocket wobbles. Obviously I need to replace it but I am wondering due to the availability on Ebay wether the gearbox internals within the Ducati range are interchangeable and is it possible to fir a six speed cluster in a 620 which came out of the factory with a five gear setup.

Any advice would be appretiated as she is getting itchy feet as the weather has been nice recently and wants to get out and ride it.

Can't help you on what's interchangeable, although I believe most Ducati gearboxes fit in other models?

But unless the chain was way too tight, you must have given it some serious abuse - respect... :thumbsup:

Drop a line to CK&AK, I think they changed one of their Desmo Due bikes to six speed in the dim and distant past...

ie. it is possible, I just don't know how much work is involved...
