Some of the KENT members were lucky enough to get an invite along for some birthday celebrations of SHUFFY'S a couple of weeks ago and an opportunity to try out the man-cave and his beautiful new dart board .

Yup, UKMOC has put the darts back into Dartford by staging Kent's Premier (er only) darts tournament at the Geezer's Arms Pub (er my garage minus bikes and piles of cr*p). With full darts attire (er very thick coats) and chunky gold jewellery (er bath chains sprayed gold), it was a an exciting (???) tournament eventually won by Scrapps (The Ochie Jockey). Such an event attracted a prestigious sponsor with a very big cup for a prize (see pic). And the runner up won a speedboat (obviously), although we had to give it back to my two year old that evening for bath time. Big thanks for all those who turned up and nearly froze to death, I think we need pimp up the pub 'heater' next time. And a very big thanks to my lovely wife who kept the 'pub grub' going all day (J.P's pic missed the endless hot meals in a basket, a la Geezers Arms).

It was a great event but I have learnt that most Kenties CANNOT take away without a calculator and they struggle to add first too.

Most of my time was on the scores and beating J.P......
