This is a copy of what I have recieved today;
Alun,
Just to let you all know that the South West Regional Bikesafe and Castle Combe Track Experience takes place this year on Saturday 2nd June 2012.
This follows the same format as previous years. This year we are sponsored by **** Lovett Motorad and stunt rider Mattie Griffin will be doing his thing
In the arena, you can then meet him on the **** Lovett Motorad stand.
You can now book and pay online for this year which is a big improvement at www.bikesafe.co.uk/castlecombe. (Should the link not work copy it into your browser)
Again we will have family attractions, bouncy castles and quad bikes. Entry to the show and parking remains free of charge.

Is there nothing Bex can't do on a computer? Cheers mate.
Yes Rally, she can't flatten a computer by sitting on it because she weighs the same as a ham sandwich.
The voices in my head are saying "don't listen to the nasty man, just remember, power to weight ratio, power to weight ratio, power to...."
Anyway back to the thread thingy.... Rally you said this Castle Combe thing was really good last year? I'd be tempted as I didn't make it last time.
You'll have no argument from Rally or I about power to weight ratio...

Bex, my weight ratio is improving by the day! It needs too mind..........
As to the Bikesafe, it was good. Last year it was £25 so it has gone up a bit. There were trade stands selling bits and bobs, but no stunt rider last year though, so that will be a good improvement. As to the riding we did, you do an hour on the road observed by Mr Bobby, then get told what he thought of it., followed by 15 minutes on the track. Last year Steve on his 696 and me on the Rs had a ball, riding around the outside of 1000cc Jap bikes.
It's well worth the money and a good morning/day out.

Guys, if you can, do this. As Alun says I had a blast.
The two of us were thundering through the Wiltshire countryside at around 70mph (85...) with a Police FJR1300 on our tail. Probably looked like something off Police, Camera, Action!
And he gave me some great feedback. And never mentioned my slight mph indiscretions :)
Martin, bring the 796 for the track action, otherwise you won't keep up.....
<I'm only kidding!>

Just a reminder to all that showed initial interest in this. I have had an e-mail to confirm now that there are a few places left still for the observed ride outs.
Stands wise this year there are;
Dic* Lovett Motorad with cars and bikes
Riders with Ducati and Harleys, demos available if you book ahead with the Bridgewater depot.
Fowlers display and on site technicians
Bransons motorcycles
Total Triumph
Bristol Kawasaki
Hein Gerrick
HRS clothing from Bristol
Check it out at www.bikesafe.co.uk/castlecombe
yeah maybe why not - pop me down for an observed ride out

You will also get to go on the track for 15 minutes Char, or I could take your bike out for you if you like! :biggrin:
Didn't you just replace the carbon you Rallied last time? It'd be a bit rude to ruin it again so soon!
As to the riding we did, you do an hour on the road observed by Mr Blobby, then get told what he thought of it., followed by 15 minutes on the track. .
Cant wait, is this his bike?

Yep, thanks to all that came. A great day had by all. Char doing excessive speeds with a Police bike behind her was a sight to remember as well as Bex hanging it out round the track with style! Shame you couldn't shake me off, out brake or out accelerate me! :D
Just a shame it wasnt this one

Great day - not without a few wobbly moments before during and after the track seesion - going to see why the traction control stopped working when I've finished work
, might have to read the manual

Looking good Char and bex
I think I need to get a black helmet and visor now.
thanks Ann
I did try explaining to the police officer that the reason I wasnt sticking to the speed limit was due to the fact it was dull and slightly wet and I couldnt see a darn thing with the dark visor
Bex of course had bought her clear one as well and changed for the observed ride out , but when there was the opportunity of a photo shoot it was back on with the dark...
Hahaha actually I left with the dark one on, but had to seize the opportunity to change it in the middle of the observed ride out when my copper had us pull over since some chap in the group in front had decided to take the scenic route, through a ditch.
I was riding with it up before that cos I couldnt see either, and it really hurt.
