A black seat cowl to fit a 2000 Monster.
Anyone tempted to sell?

Wouldn't be that difficult to find any colour cowl and paint it black
Depending on year/model of cowl it could also need fixing brackets swapped

I'd rather have one that had a base colour of black to keep the costs down of having a re-spray, and I wont do a re-spray myself a it never looks quite perfect.
And you're right about fixing brackets, hence why I need one for a 2000 model (w), I want this to be an easy quick bolt on as I'm changing the entire seat unit later this year and want the costs kept down.

If you're changing seat later in the year why go for the perfect option?
A mint secondhand 2K onwards black cowl won't be cheap or very easy to pin down. Gloss black wasn't a common colourway for new monsters of that era. The DIY cowl may be easier and cheaper to arrange in the short term, and plain gloss black is also a simple colour to match. Secondhand cowl £30-50 + a few tins of spray primer/topcoat, and a few hours in the garage... no brainer IMO.
You can get a whole bike professionally resprayed to a good standard for under £300 - so painting a cowl's hardly going to break the bank

Or get a carbon-fibre cowl...
