Sorry if it's a bit of a random question, it turns out quite a few people I know have named their cars! Not something I'd ever really thought of, just thinking we spend a lot more time messing about with the bikes so I'm curious if anyone has given their Monster a name (and is prepared to admit what it is :D)?

Used to be Becera, on her next incarnation she'll be Dulcinea del Toboso. Sad, I know..

My S4 is nicknamed "The Ex-wife" - why

Cos she cost me a fortune on accessories and bling, can be temperamental, very cosmetically orientated, looks good from a distance but is now showing signs of age and can be a real pain in the butt when she feels like it :on:

I'm not going to comment on what the ride is like in case the girlfriend reads this post ... lol :mand: :yoparty:

Mine are all called "Business", cars or bikes.

The reason is so if I go out on them when I should be at work, i'm not lying when I say "I'm going (or been) out on business! :D

S2R 1000 is called mischief (thats what we get up to together), old multistrada 1100 was called goose (as it had a big arse but still flew) and now just got a multi 1200 and not had a name come up yet.

I think I called my first 600 many names, none of which could be repeated here.

Mine is actually called Alice – and not because the GP bike… it was named after “the one that got away” so to speak. :)

The Beast!

Because it's the Devil's bike and all black......it has been known to scare me on ocassions when I've stopped concentrating! The accidental wheelie, stoppie and back end drift.......that's 'The Beast'

Mark

My Monster is 'the Monster' or (for the benefit of the Mrs) the 'black bike' as opposed to my 916 which is 'the 916' or the 'red bike'.

However things were not always thus; before I got the Monster the 916 was known as 'the Ducati' or even 'the bike'.

I try to keep things simple...

I don't normally name my bikes, but this one may have gained a name by default.
You see, I've just got my winter hack/runabout Honda Dominator back on the road. This bike has become known as "the Other One", because it isn't the Ducati. (there is also a Grateful Dead connection here, but I won't bore you with the detail).
Therefore I guess the Monster has become "THE ONE".
This is very appropriate as I'm quite besotted and have eyes for no other motorcycle.

Lol, yes, something like that :P glad some one got it. Most people stare blankly at me or quote Breaking Bad (Walter White's alter ego) references....

No name at all. I worry that my feelings for a piece of metal and plastic may be unnatural as it is so a name would just make it worse...

It's all part of being passionate about your past-times. It's not restricted to ships.

The answer is 'of course', but I don't know any of you well enough... :flamed:

I used to call my ZZR1400 'rocket' (for obvious reasons), but I'm still to name the 'Monster', although 'thunder' had crossed my mind given the sound it makes when I start it!

After buying the S2R and riding it back from welsh Wales it was named Bam Bam, for obvious reasons.
The dark and ssie don't have names.

My Monster is commonly known in our house as the money pit but Hey-Ho its really a Love thing. I could have bought a Honda and been really bored and reasonably wealthy.

Or alternatively, once you know how fast it's moving you can't be certain which direction it will end up going in? :chuckle:

If pushed to name it I might go for Schrodinger with mine...it exists in a permanent state of being equally working and not working, until you turn the key and find out which is true :D

No names for mine, however my wife refers to my 999 (with termi's) as the "fast bastard noisy one" and my S2R 800 (all standard) as "I prefer that one!" I like them both, but please don't ask me which one I like the most - I couldn't imagine parting with either!
