View Full Version : 5 bolt discs...

I picked up some Hypermotard wheels a while ago - fitted them to the Monster the other day and have a question about Brake Discs...

The Hyper wheels use 5 bolt 305mm (I think) diameter discs.

I'm looking for 5 bolt discs, 320mm diameter with a 10mm offset to suit the Monster.

So far I haven't had any luck finding any... but I saw an 1100 Evo in the car park and it looks like they have exactly the discs I need (I didn't get too close lest someone thought I was casing the joint!)

I had a look at the part number for the 1100 Evo (492.4.085.1A), and it seems to be the same as the 848 discs, but I though the 848 had a 15mm offset (or maybe that's just the 1198?)...

Can anyone confirm / help?

1100s has 10mm offset, 320mm and 5 bolt fixing, as also does an S4Rs.

Cool... thanks.
I'll have a hunt around and see what I can find...

I can confirm that 749 front wheel and discs fits M1100.
I conclude therefore that the wheel and discs are the same.

Hope this helps.

I tried 749 discs on the Hyper wheel, but the 749 has a 15mm offset and therefore the discs don't line up with the calipers (M1000 front end)

From what you describe, it sounds like the 749 hub may be slightly narrower than the Hyper wheel which would allow the discs to line up correctly.

I've got a set of 848 discs (same P/N as 1100 S) on the way, so fingers crossed they'll work.

I believe 1100S discs are the same as 749...therefore the same as 848. The 848 discs might not work then.
Best of luck.

The 848 Discs arrived today - They are the correct fit.

320mm, 5 bolt fixing, 10mm offset, therefore they are the same as 1100S etc as Rally posted.

They are not the same as the 749 ones as 749 discs have a 15mm offset instead of 10mm.

Whew... I'm sorted for discs... now onto the next problem!

Cool.

Glad I was mistaken and the discs fit!
