Having some trouble getting the rear wheel bearings out of the wheel. Is there a knack to it, or do I carry on with the brute force and ignorance? I've knocked up a press with some wood and threaded bar, etc but not had a chance to try it out in anger because I'm at work now.
Cheers in advance,
C
there's a recess in one end of the centre spacer, this should allow you to get a cunningly shaped drift or long thin punch in, once the first one's out, 'tis easy peasy.

If you have an old screwdriver, a long one just grind off a bit of the end so it fits onto the slot. It is actually quite a small slot, I made mine a tad bigger
Then wack rotate wack, rotate wack till the first one comes out. Second ones easier

Locate notch in inner spacer.
Place wheel with notch side upper most.
Stick metal implement in notch, whack metal thing with hammer.

It's critically important to use a firm and authoritative wack, a half hearted thowk just isn't going to be good enough.
