I am looking to change the bars on my 900ie with some new bars.
What bars will fit without loads of messing around and what have people already used ?
Not looking to change the riding position(maybe a bit higher) just get some shiny new bars.

Seconded....Renthal lows.
If you want something a little higher than std then they should be about right...I have the ultra lows on my bike and they are pretty much the same as std, maybe just a fraction lower.

A lot of people like the Rizoma's (they come in different colours too :D)

I will have a look at the Rizoma bars but most Rizoma stuff is a bit costly for my budget.

I also want a better looking sprocket cover than the cheap plastic one fitted by Ducati

I have a New carbon one if you want it, Just checked and Rizoma bars are about £70!

If you're after some Renthal low bars, I have a set in silver that I bought for my M900 only to find that due to the 916 forks that I'm using being longer than Monster forks, that I need to fit risers to clear the fork tops which made even the low bars too high so I've now got the Renthal flat bars to give me around the same original height.

I didn't find out that they don't suit until too late to take them back/exchange etc so they're now surplus to my needs.

The bars are new, only having been test fitted once and there are no marks etc, still got the tag & stickers fastened round them, could do you a good deal on them - PM if you're interested.

Full details are: Renthal part no 754-01 Renthal Road Low 7/8" bars in silver, for dimensions checkout; http://www.renthal.com/File/apps1.asp?tabtype=5&productid=0&appid=ROAD&zone=

You get what you pay for and my rizoma fatbars in gold are great.
If you have fat bars you can buy all different shaped magura bars.

I dont think fat bars will fit a 900ie and i am not going to change the yoke to make them fit.

I have a pair of brand new Renthals here if of interest and a 2nd pair that have been used for a short while, both are black and 22mm in diameter. Let me know if you need more info.

I've got Renthal ultra lows on the trike and they are lower than stock 900ie bars

Be careful when going to higher bars - the cables and pipes don't have much slack

You can also end up looking a bit of a tool ;)

I've got renthal ultra-lows on mine, very similar to stock, slightly higher at the ends, stock cables just right.
You'll need to either drill them for the switchgear or tape the bars and file the pegs off.
The clamping section is a little wider on the renthal, which means there's a limit to how far you can drop the forks through the yokes, especially if you've got adjustable forks.
