Hi, im back from my Hols, had a quick look and dont think anyone's posted about Sunday ??

Breakfast meet at Fatboys 10am ok with everyone ??

I also said, if the weather's not bad, I'd be happy to lead us on a merry route that I did when I did some bike training from Maidstone and down to Lydd Airport if anyone fancied it.

I had a look at my route last night and should be about 50 miles to Lydd Airport, going from Maidstone out towards Canterbury then looping back through the B-roads to Lydd for a tea.

Yes Alan of course we can, but I don't think the road surface will be as good.

Mickey's is on the A229 on the way up the hill out of Maidstone.

Fatboy's is where the London owners meet on the first Saturday of the month IIRC and it at Trinity Buoy Wharf on the other side of the Blackwall tunnel.

Hi guys as a new member I don't know where these cafe's are could you let me know where they are, or could meet you some where on route.


Ok Mick. As I'm team leader for the ride how about the following;
Meeting at Mickey's Cafe (Shell Garage) as Big Oz posted the link is a fair ride for you north, then the route will take us pretty close to where you are. So doesn't make sense for you to come to the cafe, unless you want to of course.

For the route, We could text you when we leave the cafe, and then we'll be making our way towards Caterbury and meet you on the way. There's a cross roads near a village called 'Lower Hardres, Caterbury, Kent', (search on Google) , NEAR there on Stone street, there's a pub called 'The Granville' . We could meet your there ?? It'll take us about 45 minutes to get there from the cafe.

Not great here this morning but just stopped raining, will decide on bike or car. Any news on whats it like in Maidstone etc ??

Will be bringing my brother-in-law Ray, he needs to get out for a while as his daughter is fighting cancer and things at home have been very stressfull !

Nice to meet you too, lets hope we can get out next month as well !

Thanks to JP for leading us down to lydd airport, some nice country roads and weather was good.

Though I reckon I did about 160 miles in total yesterday and was feeling knackered by the time I got home. That S4R isn't as easy as the Multi. :)
