Wanted for cafe racer project 748/916 type stock rearset controls. Needed to give my project a bit more racer position. Would prefer stock parts than aftermarket but require cylinder too but I can source one. Reservoir not needed but brake switch would be good.

Poor condition considered.

Or anything similar that is complete. SS looks wrong angle but will consider.

Does anyone know someone breaking a race bike at all. Even a Yamaha or suzuki.

You may be able to work the angle but I will be and could cut off brackets and reweld in any position. I just want minimal controls.

I have now sourced a set of good complete foot controls inc brake switch, reservoir cylinder from a Suzuki TL1000s. For the princely sum of £60 and just a mile from me and on ebay too. No postage .

Thanks if you looked for me. Now I just need the seat and exhausts doing. Oh GT i will need that favour of welding but I can throw it in the car with engine out.

If anyone needs a TL1000 engine I know where theres one :mand: Hmm intersting in the srx frame :idea::worried::worried:

Only trouble with those Gary is you need all the other bits like cylinder and brake switch. I just went down to collect and he has a garage full of bikes and more . Even gave me a spare master cylinder as one didnt have the reservoir bottle on it. Had a dry test and they will fit for sure. Think same angle frame so it will just be a case of lopping off all brackets and remaking a parallel plate with tapped holes or nuts welded on. I do think the brake levers too long too and will just not clear the kickstart. So I will lop off and fit a new end. Gear lever should be ok other than swapping end for my bigger diameter spline.
Jobs a goodun.
He has also recommended a local powercoater in sittingbourne.I may give them a try. £80 a frame. £20 a swingarm and wheels £25. Im leaving my wheels for now.

It may be worth trying the powdercoaters I've used in Dartford for a quote. They did my trike rear subframe and rack, and also had the Morini chassis done there ages ago. They are on a business park near where Glaxo factory used to be.

I am taking frame swing arm and lots of bits to the coater i use so if you not in a big rush (got to strip bike yet) it works out cheaper if done together.
you know they do a good job cos you have seen the finish on my bike....

Just remember to mask off the frame numbers ;)
