Now ive actually done this on a car before using all the special equipment but im not convinced it would work on a bike. What do you think?

By the way I have nothing at all to do with that company, found it on google!

I have some doubts from the web site.
They print that they can an extra 8 Bhp from a 600 monster???

...and they think it was making 60bhp in the first place

Seconded, it is absolutely useless remapping the ECU unless you get it done on a dyno by someone with specific Ducati knowlege/experience, Chris at CJS is that man - highly recommended.

Although unless you're making other mods at the same time there won't be much extra power available...

what are you wanting to do rac3r? get more performance?

there are a few outfits that have managed to hack with the magnetti marelli ECU (such as BSD, CJS, avanti, ) but as others have said in order to get any real perfomance benefits the ECU would need some dyno time so that customized settings can be applied for yor individual bike

i think alot of these people, are using the ECU Flash boxes by Rexxer or ECV WinOLS

I wanted to know if the same process they use on cars can work on bikes. With cars, diesels in particular can gain a decent increase especially torque wise without using the dyno

Iv just had fitted a new full arrow carbon race system - f*ck me what excellent kit that is and the sound is worth the money alone.
However as you may have seen my other thread, im running lean and will need to look into changes with the ecu.
I think your right funk, these guys who claim they can reflash the stock ecu are just using equipment already available then just creating a map suitable for your bike. If it works though then its worth doing as im hitting the upper temperatures earlier than I would normally.

I'm sure very few if any M600's had EFI - used carbs instread so remapping wouldn't be an option.

I guess they are referring to the 620ie which explains the 60bhp quoted.
