But now you have Caroline and a monster!!
That's a big bonus :)

I think I'm having a midlife crisis got the monster .. No hubby now ..
I'm kinda like a headless chicken at the mo :(
the bike stuff keeps my head just above water..
I honestly don't know what I would do without them.
I have a passion for my monsters like no other bike I've owned.
It's nice to see others just as mad about them.

But my crisis has started big time

Officially Jan. 2007 but I'd been stalking the site since buying my first bike, M695, in September of 2006.
If seems like long time ago now. I've had a total of 4 bikes, seen most of Europe, met some good friends and participated in a World Record. :)

I think it goes to show how much this club actually means to people... sure it may be a few typed lines every week or boring people to death on a daily basis or even just laughin at other peoples mishaps (i NEVER do that!!!)
We r all connected by an ownership of a special, rare, sexy and lets face it tempermental motorbike...
No matter what you get from it UKMOC is a nice place to belong!!

P.S Im pissed in edinburgh at the festival!!

Sorry I just posted the dates that were on by the side of the avatar. Dont forget I fell for a classic 97' black monster with a proper headlight. I have been there. I remember my first post on an old computer a 386 or maybe it was a 286 and the first post was daunting and it was to Lady bob or bob back then. No broadband and dial up only. Used to take an age.

It was as far as this forum is concerned, but as I stated this website/forum didn't exist when I joined. The club had a website (no forum) and you had to register with Fatbloke via email. I've definately been a member since late 2001 when I had my M600. I bought my M900ie in February 2002 so had actually been a member for about a year by August 2002.

I'm 1 of the new boys compaired to this little lot so far, Only been on here for about a year or so. Was looking for a Monster and couldn't make my mind up between an S4RS or an M1100S, the Monster choices. Thats just 2 out of the various models made since '92/ 93.

Plimbed for the M1100S in the end and its just mega.!.

Some good people in the club too, which is a bonus. Then theirs the Belgium bunch, who are great fun.

:hail:  :drunk:

Was looking for a Monster a couple of years ago and needed help.

At least that was my cover story. The last dating site I used was hopeless. :running:

Worse than this one?

Joined April 2006 as wanted another bike to save miles on my 916 and was bored with my Supermoto. Always liked the look of Monsters so bought one and the guy who sold it pointed me in this direction.

Had a cracking time, done loads, been to great places and met some brilliant people.

For that reason alone best bike I've had

Cheers
Stuart

I always wondered why your panniers were full of taped up full bin liners. That would also explain why they fell off in Belgium, you clearly overloaded on body parts...

Joined in 2003 because it was a great web site with lots of nice people who were always willing to help and share a joke. I've had three Monsters since then but due to health reasons have had to tame my wilder instincts. Having said that I still have my original Ducati number plate on whatever bike I own which causes confusion with others riders but the day will come when I move to Italy and can put it back on a sparkling new Monster.

Just after i saw the light and bought a ducati monster :)

after all my motorcycling life of jap inline fours i finally bought a ducati, I have always liked v twins but for some strange reason and there really is no logic to my thinking, jap v twins are not the same as ducati's, and for me owning a v twin could only mean a ducati experience,

I seem to remember someone in Belgium saying women are alright but you can't beat the real thing.

Was it you, Joseph?

I'm a newbie too. I joined in june last year, straight after I got my first computer (I've already been nominated for "luddite of the year"), though I'd had my monster for a few years already.
Since then I've met some great people, chatted to total strangers in the middle of the night, offered and received much monster related help and advice, done my first ever trackday, and accumulated a fair amount of carbon and alloy frippery.
Since the bike is a keeper (I may have mentioned that before), I'm likely to remain a member now for the duration, so you're stuck with me, I'm afraid.
