Hi hoping someone can help, my beautiful M750 keeps intermittently cutting out. I thought it had run out of fuel the first time but it has happened twice since and occasionally has been hard to start. I am beginning to wonder if it is the fuel pump, ideas anyone
thanks

I would change the fuel filter, check the air vent in the tank isn't blocked and maybe spray some WD40 into the plug leads. If no better then check the wiring for a break or bad connection that causes it when it gets hot.

thanks for the advise, I will do some checking tonight and get a fuel filter on order

You need to establish if it's cutting out due to lack of fuel or a decent spark owing to electrical faults.

Both will give very similar symptoms on the road, but require very different solutions to fix.

I think it might be a problem with the fuel pump as the whirring noise that you get when the ignition is turned on doesn't always seem to be there! it is intermittent which makes it a real pain

Had the same problem on my Monster 1000. fitted a new crank sensor and closed the air gap right down to 0.25mm as these VR type sensors likea good signal (I know the factort states 0.7-0.9mm)
starts perfect, runs perfect
