Does a so called "performance" Air Filter make a difference?
If so which is the best and why?
Thanks in advance.

I found it does as long as you get it running properly. My 620 ran good with the normal lid and performance filter but my S2R runs good with open lid and performance filter. You can feel the difference, not a massive difference but noticeable
As for which one I would say any as they are all pretty much the same, I bought a K&N one

Performance filters flow more air and if fuelling is matched there should be a performance gain
Open air box lid also helps with air flow

On a 750 (with fruity pipes) a K&N filter, Stage 2 Dynojet and a big hole in the top of the airbox makes a noticeable, seat of the pants, fook me that's a bit quicker, real world difference.
Never did get it on a dyno...
