Breakfast in Horam makes it a bit close to lunchtime for icecream or more food.
I'd be happy to meet at Mickey's

Not sure what we're doing this weekend. Thanks for the reminder about the West Dean Chili Fiesta, Ladybird - we have been several times (last time on the bikes, when we boiled alive wandering around in leathers all day). You must try the chili ice cream!

Hi,

I won't make it I'm afraid, I've had a prang and need to get a new lid and the shops won't be open in time in the morning.

I'm fine and the bike just needed a new foot peg which I had ready and waiting, some new crash bungs and a couple of cosmetic odds and ends.

Rain. We had a glorius ride home in the sun. We seemed to lose you. I thought you went up the Rottingdean turn but Alan thought you went straight ahead so we went via Newhaven and Lewes and then up the A26.

Thanks for the nice day which I enjoyed immensely. Thanks to Garmin for the tractor roads too.:):)

I missed the turn at the marina and carried on a while looking for a petrol station.
So I got my Garmin out and pushed the petrol pump button to guide me to the nearest place to fill up.
I ended up in Peacehaven. Then pushed the button to take me home and followed the directions till I knew where I was going. 28 miles on the reserve light.

Wondered if you guys missed the rain today. I drove through a deluge on M3 driving home from Southampton about 4.30pm.

Didn't rain at the paintball site today though.. which was nice :mand:

I did enjoy the the hindhead tunnel all by myself on the quietist bike in the world, and some chili and some camping (although not so much the morning after) or I would have been over to join in :)
I wish I'd had the monster for the hindhead tunnel as it would have sounded awesome :(

I forgot to say , that when I rode off from the parking space on Sunday afternoon and rode down to the roundabout at the end, I was about half way round when a big Audi A8 was approaching. I could see he wasn't looking at me and was only crawling anyway, but out he comes from his road only seeing me with a few feet to go. Emma screamed, loudly.

After a bit of head shaking from me, I'd stopped easily anyway, I slowly rode around him. I get maybe 5 feet before another car, having taken a little slip road avoiding the roundabout, changes her mind and is now driving at me on my side of the road onto the roundabout. Emma screamed, loudly.
More head shaking and I rode off.

Then I get back to London and Lewisham Village and just as I'm cruising in a bus lane next to a Landrover, he flicks on his left indicator and swings left almost instantly. This time I screamed, loudly.
It caught me off guard as I was tired, but I managed to stop in time as just at the last minute I saw the drive look in his side mirror and spot me. Emma screamed, loudly.

Lots of screaming then. Mighty glad that was all it was mate. Me and Caroline nearly had that last year on the A2. We would have been slammed into the concrete wall for sure.
