I have the fuel tank propped up!

It's been in the dealers for a few minor jobs - mainly becuase I don't have the correct tools - only underseat job I got done was asking them to take the Oxford Heated grips off - they were snipped rather than removed from a small box ontop of the battery.

Ride into work this am (25miles) and it nearly dies at a roundabout. Fuelied up at lunchtime and it does actually die at a junction.

At cease work it refuses to start - power is there, starter turning over etc
I lift the tank to have a look at the battery and bike starts and runs - until I lower the seat when it dies as the tank is clipped down.

Doesn't seem to be anywhere that the pipes could be kinked and no sign of fuel leaking. Could it be electrical?
the weight of the full tank seems significant. Started on the forecourt mind.
Had to leave it at work and get a lift home - any suggestions as to what I should be checking tomorrow?

Broken wire that only makes when the tank is up. Does the fuel pump whine when you turn the key with the tank clipped down?

Sounds electrical to me

Loose wire, connector of something shorting under the tank

Could be fouled up fuel pump. When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced?
