Wanted Urgently – S4 Starter Motor

This is a long shot but I don’t suppose anyone near-ish London might have one knocking around?

Mine completely died today after a rather nasty noise and seems as though it has seized. I could try and rebuild it but I have a flight booked on Thursday and planned to take the bike to the airport.

It will cost £52 to park my car to £0 to park the bike so I figure I might as well try and get\fit a new starter rather than take the car.

Can anyone help?

Hope you can get one, but it is quite an involved job to replace.
Hopefully the "seize" is not the interim gears or the sprag.

Indeed it is, I’ve just spent the last 20min familiarising myself with the procedure in the workshop manual and I now think it is highly improbably that I will be able to get it done in time.

I might as well try and rebuild it then.

Oh well… car and an utter shafting by the parking companies it is then! :(
