Anyone seen the pre 65 Ducati trials bike on the evilbay. Looks gorgeous and as rare as hobby horse poo but may be a bit optimistic at £10,000:on:

Oh yes this one. Nice Shuffy would want that. I want a yellow one.

Cheaper too by a lot. That trials bike is nice though.

There's something about trials bikes of that era, particularly the smaller, lighter ones.
They're just so "pure".
You could get something just as nice, for a lot less cash though, like the triumph cub that Julie has. I saw a nice BSA C15-based trials bike in a mag recently, too.
Oooooh those little alloy tanks !
I have 70s Honda TL in need of serious restoration, and lately I've been thinking that I might as well do it properly and start with a Miller Hi-Boy frame. But thats for when my cash flow is restored.

Actually, I'm not sure that there's much point to a desmo engine in a low revving, trials bike. Springs would do the job just as well, and be much simpler.
It is damn nice, though.

If money and garage space were not an issue I would build a DIY version of the Terra Mostro

I like it too, but the frame looks like a T20, the front hub is way over the top for a 160 trials, fuel cap missing , gear lever and kick start not plated, ignition cover needs plating or replacing. A HT lead to the plug might make it run better too. The engine looks lovely same as all the duke singles do. I wouldn,t swap Julies Cub for it. But to be fair to the owner, he is looking for the market to decide the value.
