I know I know boring concrete things but when you find an outstanding one then it has to be mentioned – not one to visit car parks very often on bike or car but found this little gem of a one in Portsmouth on Sunday.

Free to park - £1.00 refundable for a locker, £1.00 to use ground anchor supplied by them and free visor wipes on exit - plus the parking is right opposite the car park office (or you could park in a car space) – entry however needs to be via left hand lane as it has a shorter barrier to get you through

Cor, how very decent of them to think of bikers as they have done. Its a bit of a state of the art parking spot - I love the little green lights above the empty car spaces.... oh it doesn't take much to amuse me!

Yeah, I guess Portsmouth have worked out how much they save on policing if they're not paying cops to fill in reports and try to track down dozens of stolen bikes, rather than just short-sightedly grabbing a few more quid off taxpayers.
