Hi, I've just bought a 2008 s2r1000 with standard pipes so need to change them.

I had Arrows on my last monster and they were great but would consider anything.

I am happy to start with end cans and decat later.

Pls let me know if you've heard of any deals going or where the best place to buy them from.

Anybody had GPR cans?

Thx
Steve

I have a set of cored cans from my S4R if you are interested. They sound so much better than standard. Excellent condition, only used in the dry. I was going to put up a post but haven't had time to take a photo yet.

Just realised we spoke on the 'phone a couple of weeks ago. Doh! (Old age has a lot to answer for). Sorry!

S4R kit does not fit the S2R range, different sized headers for starters and the cans are also different, found this out from ducati last week.

Stevenson are you interested in selling your standard system ?

I have S4R Termi's on my S2R 800 (only end cans not headers) and Albie had the same on his old bike too I think

The endcans are the same, and likely the S pipes too, I know this as I have a pair of cored cans from an S4R that fitted my S2R800, it's the S4Rs thats different.

my understanding is (and i have been known to be wrong mind)

996 S4R (up to 2006) and S2R 800 are identical all the way to the heads (well the short OEM link pipes form the heads )

S2R 1000 has same end cans and 'S' link pipes up to the udder/cat as 996 S4R but the cat/decat pipe is different fro this bike

998 Testastretta engined S4R and S4RS (2007-2008/9 i think) are different as they have larger diameter pipes (as Mr number unfortunately discovered thanks to my bad advice previously )

I know someone who has some termignoni slip ons (from an S4R 996) that will fit onto your S2R 1000's CAT or decat pipe if you have one fitted. i will message him and see if he still wants to sell

will PM you when i know more
