These guys are just brilliant, have to take my hat off to them both, this is Robin and Annette Daykin in practice for this years TT, he is 73 and Mrs D is 67yrs and the best bit is they are not by any means last on the timing sheets. WOW just fantastic

Its great to see that everyone loves taking part and its not just the top few who bother going to race.

It is a shame that as the speeds increase that fewer and fewer get to start, they've had to drop a further 10 off the grid for the superbike races due to how short a time the fast guys are getting around in.

Still everyone has their own goals each year and how many do it just for the love of it.

Lets hope that everyone gets round safe and everyone leaves with a smile on their faces.

Safe racing all.

Cheers
Stuart

PS
JP, why do you have a picture of a young Terry Thomas as your avatar?

Not sure why he's got the bib as he's been doing the TT since 1957, how long does novice status last ??

If his wife is a newcomer I still think it counts.

My great uncle designs and makes side car units and has raced them for most of his adult life,
his name is john Renwick and he's 72! Check out what he's up to this summer - crazy old dude!

He's a TT veteran too where he's raced Vincents (that he built himself!) and to say he turned his nose up at my monster is an understatement!
