I'm used to a bit of paper .. But got a tom tom rider 2 a while ago as I get lost all the time...
Now il be honest Im not a fan at the moment of country roads please don't yell at me .. I have an underlying problem at the moment that I'm trying to sort..

Now my Tom Tom thinks it's dead funny to take me scenic routes via dirt tracks and gravel pits and roads that Romans used last ..

I think there is an option for quickest or most direct can't recall ..
But which one takes you down the boring big roads?
Sorry .. But boring roads it is for a while til I sort things!

Hope someone can help urgently ..

Make sure it's not set to avoid motorways, and ask for the quickest route not the shortest.

TomTom tends to think it's funny to take you down a goat track to save 100m if you set it to look for the shortest route.

Asking it to avoid motorways can also lead to excursions on to country lanes.

Tom Tom is trying to get you to use roads you may remeber from your youth :biggrin:

throw it in the hedge, and get a paper map from Smiths
