Hi All,

Not posted for a long time, but over the years i have been modding the m900 and now sport the clip ons and most of the small bits of faring and mounts points have been removed from the frame. Made the Decision that it will never carry a pillion and im now looking at cuting off the grab rails. Has anyone attempted this?

My only concern is around structural integrity of the rear of the bike as i already have the most agressive tail chop with everything south of the seat latch gone.

Any pointers appreciated

It should not be a problem

As long as you are sure that you will not have the extra weight of a pillion in the future, I would not of thought it would give you a problem. The cross member where the seat latch goes will give it strength, although the grab handles would add a bit more tortional strength again of course.

Didn't realise Simon had the grab handles removed

Guess it helped the MV seat unit to sit on frame better

they ended up extending the seat latch cable and putting the lock in the side of the airbox too

Pity we don't see much of Simon or the S4R these days :worried:

Has he been tipped off about the trackday?
