Hi all,

I've been lurking around on the site for a while now, chipping in my two pennths worth on the odd occasion but haven't actually posted any pics of "mein monnie".

Bought from Rally as a "one careful owner" bike, I met him and realsied that it had probably been used as only a good bike should be :D

So over the Easter Weekend I gave her a full service and a good clean. The valves were (thankfully) all in spec, so it was a simple case of new belts and fluids and fitting a spattering of trinkets at it.

Rizoma Rearsets
Carbon hugger
New Front Mudguard

New bar end mirrors (to be fitted still)
New short Levers (to be fitted still)

Only thing left to do is import it officially and rack up loads of miles :spin:

It was the sliding floor I was most impressed with, what a gret idea. And as well as that, the bike is still looking great and whats with the fancy Nurnburg shaped bird poo on the seat cowl! :D

One negative thing though, its been so sunny and hot, your shed has shrunk and left a peephole in the side. (Or are you peeping at someone!) Lol

PS. Turn the calender over, it May now!

Awesome Idea with the sliding floor! Oh and nice bike :D

The sliding floor was necessary to prevent losing a lot of space but works well after upgrading the castors to Skateboard axles and wheels yesterday as the castors tried to rotate when you slid the table out.
Yes the warm weather produced a fair degree of shrinkage on the shed, I guess putting it up in October wasn't the best time for it so will wait for the height of summer and then see what to do with it and am aware it may mean a roof off job to re-settle the beams the nlock it al back down again.

OK off to the shed to turn the calendar

What you want though, is some nice wallpaper....

I'm not too worried about the reg as the bike is in Germany and will soon be on German plates and registered here.
Wallpaper is a good addition, need to sort the seasonal shrinkage first!

Had similar shrinkage on my last shed.
Don't leave it til summer before you fix it...it'll only get worse, fast.
And the only way to get the planks back together then will be to dismantle each individual panel, which is more than your sanity can stand.
Give it a good soaking with water over a couple of days to swell the wood, possibly covering the worst bits with a tarpaulin to keep the moisture in, and tease the tongues back into the grooves as the wood expands.
Then give it a good sloshing with creosote substitute, which contains waxes etc to prevent the wood drying out. The fumes are a bit grim for a few days though.
Don't use modern fence paint. It doesn't soak in to the wood, so doesn't really do the job, and it soon peels off.
Also, being fussy as I am, I would consider making up a roof truss to give the roof some support in the middle. without this, they always sag after a couple of years. your window might get in the way, though.

There you go....shed advice from UKMOC....The others will have me down as a proper nerd, now.

I did notice it yes and He11cat and scrapps will be pleased too. I too also like your sliding floor. Great idea and you could get more bikes in there.
