Takes place all next week in Fort William. Lots of supporting events including the 2 day pre 65 and parade of riders 300+ on Sunday afternoon. Son is riding so I wish him all the best.

Good luck to your son Pete. i rode schoolboy and adult trials for Kent youth andErith mcc in Kent. Great times for me. SSDT is the pinacle for any rider.

I rode in a Don Smith nationalshoolboy trial, my god those rocks where frightning but great satifaction when you rode a good section.

Please post up how your son gets on.

Cheers alan

Late on time yesterday put the young fella down the field a bit but had a better day on observation today with a bit of bike trouble at the last sections. He still laughing and enjoying it tho so thats the main thing.
Michael brown leading with dougie lampkin second.

I was returning back home via Fort William when the competitors were streaming back along the road to the town (along the hateful stretch between Onich and FW), it was very odd indeed, a long parade of seeming dwarfs on bikes certainly made for an unusual spectacle on the road with only one or two standing on their seatless bikes as they returned.

james dabill leading with michael brown in second going in to the last day. Dougie Lampkin on crutches!!!
Boys going well has pulled up 50 places to middle order, monday score has really hurt his chances of a 1 st class award but if he is lucky enough to finish i will be right proud, not that i ament anyway!

All done , james Dabill the winner, last tears winner Alex Wigg lost it on the last observed section and one of the easiest in the trial when his bike threw the chain. boy did well for his first trial in 2 year 161st , really proud of him.

Thanks for the kind wishes, as for the lad , dont know about knackered but do know his heads pounding a bit today!!! think the stairs to his room last night at 4 in the morning was the hardest section of the week for him.
