I need a bit of advice guys, I have rearsets for my bike but find them a bit high,so I was thinking of modding the standard footrest's by cutting off the pillion bits and just using the front bits. Has anyone out there done this and if so can you please supply some photo's:dizzy:

I've seen this done on a few monsters - no pictures saved though

##Edit##

Found this one that looks like it has chopped hangers

cut too short they don't work, all you can do is cut off the very tip (passenger pegs) but be careful as the can hanger bolt hole does come in useful to hold cans in place?

Doesn't shandy have this mod on his rebuild?

Thanks guys but I don't need to keep the exhaust hangers as I have high level exhausts - any more pictures would be welcome. :booze:

I think ST2 or ST4 peg hangers fit a monster and give a relaxed peg position. But the brake and gear pedal needs rethinking. It was something I considered doing on trike build but stuck with stock hangers in the end.

This is the trimmed down option Dave refers to..

Do I remember seeing a pic from somewhere ??Belgium?? with tube steel footrest hangers. That could be made to whatever kind of position you wanted
