Blimey, yeah.
Thanks for posting that.
As a fan of the wet clutch, that's very interesting.
Kinda brings the wet clutch properly (and proudly) into the whole ducati exposure thing.
Functionally pointless of course...but sometimes I can be a tart.
Trouble is, I bet my lathe is too small to swing the clutch case.....but there's always another way....just needs a tea, a smoke and a long hard stare.

Anyone got a spare case (Y2K M750) lying about ?

I can hardly believe that those internal mounting holes are already there.
Its like its "meant to be".

Temp check results would be interesting.
And, without thinking/looking at it very closely yet, I would have thought a complete internal fixing ring of some sort must be possible, and better than the individual tabs.
Being the over-cautious type, I'd also like to know, for absolute certain, that there was no hidden/unsuspected purpose for the internal "damping...?" ring. Seems odd that ducati would want to ...quieten... a clutch ..?

Damn...I'm too busy just now to have my head taken over by such distractions.

Interesting thread too, in that every time a post raised a particular question in my own mind, it was immediately answered in the very next post.
Nice bit of live, anarchistic, development engineering in action.

Go for it!

I'd like some window belt covers once I get another bike

i had one of these on my old suzuki, it was a wet clutch and all that happened was it misted up as it warmed up. they only look cool when they are cold....

This lot will do that conversion for you in this country
http://www.psycleworkz.com/shop/category_5/CUSTOM.html?shop_param=cid%3D%26

You give them the donor engine case to be machined and they will do the rest.
I've not had any dealing with them myself though I marked this link from another SC owner who did get it done. (Its in their gallery, no 11 )

Not the cheapest option but very few of these services are.
It's on my list.

If you think about it 175 isn't bad, the dry clutch covers and stuff cost about 200

Thanks for posting the link :)

I'd been wondering about doing this for ages...thought misting up might be a problem though and I never quite managed to find a spare case to experiment with

In the other thread on Ducati MS he said it only steamed up initially then would clear
