Hello!

I am a biking newbie, having wanted a bike since i was 6 and always being told I couldn't have one, I finally did my test last summer and at 21 I got my first bike.
I have loved every minute of it so far, but am now looking to upgrade my bike to the one I have always wanted a Ducati Monster 600! and I am hoping this forum maybe able to help with all the monster people of the UK on it!

I look forward to soon hopefully be owning a monster

Hello and welcome. You have found the right place for info and maybe to find a 600 monster.
A new member joined a few weeks back and now is the owner of a nice 600 dark found on this site.(just needs to pass his test and he will be sorted)

Why not go straight to a 750? There is a very tidy 750 up for sale on here now......

Hardly the colour for a man though Gordon! (Unless you work for a phone company) ;)

Welcome to the Club. There is a really low mileage Red M695 on E-Bay at present. It has been dropped in price to £3600 or offers and has now been relisted 3 times! You may get a bargain. It is in Reading.

Welcome Mr Nutt.
We are very helpful and a damn nice bunch too. We hope you find the right bike for you soon. The 600 or a more modern 620 should be reasonable cheap for you.

Come to Ducati Aylesbury (On Yer Bike) on Sunday April 17th and meet a good bunch of us.
Or drop in for the day on May 29th for a National get together near Stratford Upon Avon, or even the UK Monster Owners Club Tracksday at Mallory Park on Friday July 1st.

.

And that from a man who wears pink - plenty of men on here with orange bikes - besides you could always spray it

I will be coming along on the 17th April, as I am yet to really find any bikery stuff as yet, probably because I don't ride a big sports bike of sorts and have only been riding for 10 months!

Dave seriously Char's 750 wouldn't a bad starter, there's just a little bit bit more power than a 600 and the price is sensible. Pretty much the same physical size and weight too, put side by side there isn't too much to tell them apart really.
Neither's exactly a 'sports' bike, that's not really what Monsters are about

Welcome mate.
I agree, the 600 may well be too underpowered, plus it's getting a bit long in the tooth now (incoming..)!
I was looking at getting an M600 a few years ago but was told i would probably outgrow it, power wise pretty soon, so i got the M900 instead.

Welcome, Dave.

Nowt wrong with a 600, but I would second everything others have said.
Nowt wrong with orange either.....though I do speak as the owner of an orange M750.
Seriously though, Chars bike is one of the very last carbed 750s, so most of the glitches were ironed out on previous models, and there's no complicated electronics.
Mine's similar, and its a keeper......the chosen one, after 35years of thinking about it.
