Over the winter I've been lucky enough to pick up a few bits, which have just sat on the bench waiting for me to find some enthusiasm, now as I’m led to believe the sun may be putting in an appearance sometime soon? I decided to do a bit of overdue maintenance, like new oil & filter, and while the oil is drained thought I'd fit the new gear detent that I bought so long ago I'd almost forgotten about it.

The blurb for this said "the new detent arm and stronger spring will firm up shift feel and virtually eliminate missed shifts - both up shifting and downshifting" I'll let you know

As you can see there is a fair difference, the new one has larger diameter roller with bearings as opposed the the standard Ducati part which is not much more than a steel bush.

Also sat on the bench was some factory Corse primary gears and a high capacity oil pump and some lightweight timming gears, all of which came to me new the pump even had FO7-013 marked on it, so was clearly destined for a very special 999rs originally, the primary gear alone is 540gms lighter than the standard part.

All I need now is a glass engine cover to show it all off???

Right off to dismantle the other side now to fit the timming gears, when I've cleaned them up a bit.
