Hi all,

I read the forums fairly regularly but don't often post. I've decided this year to try and keep track of all the riding I do along with all the spannering (I do own a ducati after all)

For anyone who is interested, I am blogging everything at http://travelswithmymonster.blogspot.com only one post so far, but it will grow, please follow it if you enjoy it.

I am a relatively inexperienced rider, have had a licence for 3 years, but not done much beyond exploring the local roads. This year I want to kick on and improve my riding, try a track day and travel in europe.

cheers

Daz

Hi Daz,

If you're thinking of doing a trackday this year, UKMOC is organising one at Mallory Park on 1 July: http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/showthread.php?t=39813

And if you fancy a run over to Europe. there's the Belgium weekend in September (http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/showthread.php?t=38909&highlight=MOB), or LVC's French charity ride out (http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/showthread.php?t=39783).

There are a few monsteristi in East Anglia - not sure about Cambridge specifically, suspect most are further east or south (Grumpy in Halstead, Nonnie somewhere in darkest Norfolk and Hellcat somewhere vaguely Ipswichwards) but I know they've been trying to get more meets organised there: http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/showthread.php?p=379559#post379559

As for training, I'm doing a Bikesafe type day at Cadwell in May: http://microsites.lincolnshire.gov.uk/lrsp/section.asp?docId=63394. Last year we went to the Isle of Man to do some Rospa training: http://www.mcacademy.co.uk/2.html (sadly an upset stomach meant I missed a day's riding so didn't go in for the test).

Can I suggest making the writing on your blog black rather then white?

White on sky-blue is quite hard to read. :)
