Just received an email from BG Motorsport
If you're thinking of replacing your shock on a 2002 or later Monster it might be worth checking out.

They are an official OHLINS centre, based at Silverstone, and are currently promoting the Ohlins “Naked” range, recently introduced as an entry level damper to replace the OE specification shock absorber on a range of unfaired models. The dampers are a Single mono-tube (internal gas reservoir) with a 46mm piston, and come with adjustable rebound damping. The items come complete with springs, are fully serviceable and can also be re-valved internally to suit individual requirements.

If a DU321 or DU737 (http://www.bgmotorsports.co.uk/2010-11%20Naked%20Sports%20Bike%20Flyer%20BG.pdf) is of interest to any UKMOC members, any orders placed through BG Motorsport before 24th March 2011, quoting the promotion code “NAKED/MOC”, will be available at £375 + VAT and include free delivery.

If you have any questions, please contact them directly.

Apologies for pulling this out of it's coffin, but since the promotion is drawing to an end - has anybody any experience with these? I understand this are 'entry level' but I'm just a wee but unclear on how entry, entry level this is.

Am I correct in putting this in between stock and a Wilbers/Hagon? Or would this be up to par with those (ie. a good third party rear shock)?

Any experience/views, much appreciated!

It should be on a par with the entry level Wilbers, I'd guess better than a Hagon offering.
