I haven't used standard bars for years and thought they felt too high so used clip ons instead. Now I'll be off a bike until may after wrist surgery and thinking that maybe I need something inbetween normal and low bars. Other than renthal low bars are there any other suggestions that you know of?

Suburban Machinery bars. Sweep back angle 24 degrees (stock S*R 18, for comparison).
They will put you somewhere between bars and clip ons.

Or Jota bars, they are cheap and adjustable, you can try them out and if you like the position you can always get something fancier afterwards.

Hi PD,

Have you considered woodcraft clip-ons. They come in various heights at 50mm dia, from zero rise up to 3". Not sure if there is a UK distributor - otherwise shipping could be a bitch?

I'm liking the look of those Gary, I'm not in a hurry to change and I don't really want to but I think needs must. Riser clip ons might be the way forward.

Thanks all
