I wouldnt say they are crap but like any brand associated mountain bike, you dont get much value for money in the way of componentry - As already said even at £350 they are not super value but they do look great and would be absolutely fine for faffing about (read posing with the kids on a sunny afternoon lol !) on - but they wouldnt be much cop for hard use.

But if you are planning going on the rough stuff for that sort of money Id go with a low end GT or spend a bit more and get a Boardman sport or comp.

Ive just taken a look at one on ebay..

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bianchi-Ducati-Monster-600-Mountain-Bike-/120671348272?pt=UK_Bikes_GL&hash=item1c1892a630

The forks are cack and it doesnt even have hydraulic brakes ! I bet it weighs a ton too.

the frame and componentry is kids bike/low end halfords quality stuff

if it did not have the Ducati/Bianchi name it, it would cost no more than £200-250

also Bianchi MTBs arent that hot generally , some of ther road bikes on the other hand are amazing but you really need to spend £500+ before you start seeing value as compared to other bikes out there

just my opinion mind
