Does anybody know the torque setting for tightening the sump plug on a 2007 S4 Rs?
Thanks in advance

If it's like all the others,
42Nm with new crush washer

Or multiply by 0.738 to get ft.lb. ie 31 ft.lb.
But simply tight enough to seal will be good enough if you don't have a torque wrench...its not critical as long as you don't overtighten.
If you do need to estimate the torque, a 'normal' pull on a std length 13mm spanner will give around 15 to 20 ft.lb.
And I got away with reusing the old sealing washer, though a new one is always best if you can get one easily.
Its not like all the others it is smaller

In that case, The 15 to 20 ft.lb. from a normal pull on a std length spanner should be about right, I reckon.
Just err on the low side to avoid overstressing the alloy threads in the case.
As long as it seals, its probably tight enough.
Its 12mm the factory torque is 20Nm
