Hello everyone, im mike, im 21 from southport which is near liverpool & preston. I passed my test last year and got myself a ducati monster (m600) its a 1996, but its mint, 12,000 on the clock and has been garaged for ages. I have fallen in love with her which is why i came in search of a monster owners club. So... here i am, so has anyone got any info on upcoming meets or events? Does anyone on here live near me so we can organise some ride outs? Glad ive found this site, already finding loads of good tips and stories. Any info on how to find out about events and stuff would be much appreciated! Cheers - Mike

Hi Mike

welcome to UKMOC, glad you like what you've seen, and you like your bike.

Not sure how close you are to him, my geography gets a bit hazy north of The Thames, but LouScannon is a very active Northern owner so might be worth dropping him a pm.

Also the two big meets of the year are the weekender, May and Belgium, September. Weekender details are already on the forum so might be worth a look if you fancy a visit.

Anyway enjoy and see you around

Cheers
Stuart

Lesson here is don't let Stuart navigate on ride outs!!

LouScannon (Jim) is over towards Manchester - Stockport I think.......

As Stu said, welcome!! - See you around some time.

Mike, welcome to UKMOC. I don't think there's a regional rep listed for your area as yet, but I'm sure there must be quite a few club members based near Liverpool. The Ducati up North forum would also be a good way of tracking down guys on your patch http://www.ducati-upnorth.com/forum/

Loads of other event being organised by regional reps. Just check out events and reps section, but you may need to travel a fair way to attend. Don't think there's a lot being organised local to you at present.

Welcome mate. Originally from Warrington myself, so not too far... although now based in Kent, so that IS a little to far! :banghead:

Any pics of the bike? What colour is it? I had a blue M600 myself as a first
big bike :mand:

Welcome Mike. Not only have you got yourself a brilliant bike, but you've now found yourself the friendliest and most help bunch - of Monster owners. Definitely get hold of LousCannon - he will show you the ropes. Hope to see you at some events. My first big bike was a red M600 - she'll always have a place in my heart!

Hi Mike and welcome!

I had a 1995 M600 which I owned for 2 years and recently sold. Absolutely loved it as soon as I rode it, and a great bike for me to get back into riding after a break of about 16 years!

I hope you enjoy your bike and make it to some local/national meets!
