Feb 13th - Valentines run out to "Love" in Somerset maybe............
March 12 - 13th British Leisure Show at Windsor. Most bike makes will be there as well as boats, caravans, BBQ's, hot tubs etc etc. It's an interesting show to visit.

With such a full calender there are bound to be some dates during the long, balmy days of summer (pause for whistful sigh) when it'll be worth making the 300 or so mile round trip from the midlands to join you all, if that would be ok...?
I would try to drag a few others along too, of course.

everybodys welcome, and its always good to meet new faces, we could always travel up a little bit too! You can't be that far away.....

By definition, nowhere is that far away from the midlands I guess.:chuckle: ...and vice-versa.
I think there might be a potential small blossoming of midland monstering, currently.
I think I need to do some organising of this latent potential.
Hopefully, this will result in a midland diary post in due course.

Leicestershire had a very active section of members back in 2005-2007. Things changed and people moved on to other interests, but this isn't to say the area couldn't thrive as a region again. It just takes a bit of enthusiasm and perseverance from a few key members, and before you know it things could take off again. If all else fails there's always the UKMOC weekend in May, and it's more local to you as well
Midlands not so far from North Wilts and there's plenty going on up there - join the Heros ride at Wooton Basset - only a 200 mile round trip :flag:

Depends where in the counties folks live, but a line from C'c'ster through Burford to Woodstock looks about half way between So'ton and Brumagem.
Anyone know of any suitable caffs thereabouts [With plenty of room in the car park]?

There is a cafe on the A417, between Swindonia and Gloucester, theres a petrol station there, can't remember what its called!

Greasy Joes is a good one or a couple of miles up the road at the junction of the A429 Fosseway and A419 Cirencester road. There is one there as well with fuel.

CORRECTION;
Cirencester is the largest town in the Cotswolds and is in Gloucestershire! It has it's own amphitheatre and is home of a Roman Curinium. :mand:

As many of us have joined in with the Hampsters from across the border and had good times and ride outs, it makes sense to do so for this year as well. We have got together and come up with an itenary that looks like this: -

D1ck Richardson (Airfield Manager) has again kindly agreed to Free Passes for all Ducatis.
For your free pass please send a self addressed stamped envelope to:
D1ck Richardson, Popham Airfield, Winchester, SO213BD
There will be a DUCATI only parking area inside the show ground so you don't need to park in the outside car park, just ride down to the entrance and show your pass. We are normally located at the top of the hill by the marquees.

So now who needs the slap! I popped in to see D1ck a couple of weeks ago and will pick up a number of passes from him when they are printed to share around. Still, better we both cover the events Staff!!!
I will post on here when I have them and will take them to all the meets from then onwards. It will save alot of stamps and postage. :D

As well as the White Horses, Cerne Abbas giant and the stones, I found a new chalk one today (new to me anyway). It is a Kiwi in chalk on the side of a hill. It was done for New Zealands support in the 2nd world war. Amazing what you find when routing around Salisbury Plain.
