Lighter weight 17" wheels for 600 / 620 17mm/20mm/25mm??

I'm looking for a set of the lighter 17" wheels for a 2001 m600.

I think the lighter wheels came on the 620 (the ones where the spokes get thinner at the end). My question is would the axle sizes be different to mine?

Yes, I'm guessing you have 17mm spindles. The newer ones with the spokes reversed have a 25mm spindle. Should be possible to swap by changing the bearings. I don't think there's a great difference in weight though (perhaps CK&AK, Tonio or one of the other DD racers can confirm.) A set of 5 spoke Marchesinis of the original S4 might help but the rear rim is an inch wider than your 600.

Forgot to mention that I haven't picked up the '01 m600 yet so just unsure what axle size it has, but seen some light 3 spokes on eBay and they are 25mm ones so wondering if they would fit! Thanks

Thought that might be the case. I think they are nit a huge amount lighter but every little helps!
