Went to go to work on little bike... frozen ignition .. frozen clutch, frozen brakes , frozen solid throttle ... had ACF50 on it as well :)

got everything defrosted until I realised it was frozen to the spot with frozen drum brakes :chuckle:

Got to work myself nice and warm.. bike covered in ice... mirrors iced up as I went along.

I have never had that happen a bike frozen solid in all my years of biking used to thawring a frozen seat with my bottom... frozen drum brakes never!

-4 today... didn't know until I got to work.
Was told you do realise its below freezing??? errr no is it?

Been running out every hour of so to teak and try and keep it unfrozen..
chucked some warm water over it and watched it turn to more ice.
Never seen it so cold in my life in daytime.

There was a space in storage so caretaker kindly let me leave him there ..

I was just itching to hop back on two wheels ..
have to say the Held lobster gloves I got big thumbs up:thumbsup: I don't have heated grips on that bike and my hands usually are frozen.
Coldest I have ever ridden in and I was snug as a bug :):cool:

Its the water that is freezing, ACF would not prevent that unless you introduced it into all the control cables.

i must admit i struggled to de-ice my car this morning, and the pavements and roads were all thick ice brrrr

Liking your style Hellcat - have to admit to being a bit bonkers on occasion when going out in this weather but good on you. Definitely helps improve your riding skills! It was the same in Bristol, even my pinlock on my visor failed this morning as the moisture froze on the seal leaving a gap! Had to ride with my visor open which resulted streaming eyes and a frozen nose!

I'm stupid more like!
Yup lunchtime I chucked warm water on him and instant ice!
I really did not know how cold it was.
I work on a hill top and tonight battled with freezing fog .
The trees where White with frost and ice as was the ground and f
grass looked just like snow.
Never seen such thick ice on trees like that In this country ever..
I had a nice film of ice deveoping on me going home :).
It's true if you keep your core warm your exstermities do better the heated vest would be good in this ! I even wore a textile jacket which is unheard of

Car was showing -14c this morning @ 7.55am. Just the thought of using 2 wheels in this weather makes me shiver.

Brr - it was a balmy -7 when I drove to the stables at 6am this morning.

Just realised I'm a mug - as I had to de-frost the smart to do the stables trip & then home for 7am as AK took the car to work at 7.15.

Durr - guess who then had to defrost the 2nd car an hour later to go to work.

C, off to bash AK to ensure he does 1 car tomorrow! :nash:

lol... got to use the car tomorrow I hope I am getting a new windscreen!!!
So I will have my I am totally fed up in the car face :)
It also takes 4 times as long to get there... and I get grumpy.

Worse still he has to go to the garage for about two days ..

I had kitchen towels wrapped round him at work and then carrier bags .. trying to insulate him a bit.
It looked like he's been Tp'd in a prank.. even the drum brakes had paper wrapped round them.

:( no ... but if I do it again I will... it had paper all over it .. then a carrier bag on each grip :)

Oh and my Mum gave me some shaggy bathroom set .. not very me (don't tell her!!!).. so I also improvised and had the bit that goes round the base of lavs which covered the seat up to the tank just so... the curve that goes round bottom of the loo fitted just so on the curve of his tank!

Then another one wrapped round the head stock to try and shield the ignition..

So yes TP stuff .. carrier bags and Bathroom pedistal set with that shaggy candlewick stuff and flowers!

This was not my monster ..I brought him a new winter coat.. but the old one is currently frozen solid and id rather let him thaw out then rip it off and damage bits :)

The little bike has a cover but its currently frozen solid a seat and no amount of yanking would get it off :chuckle:

Freaky weather today, started off and it was just cold, dropped a few hundred feet into the fog where it was colder
I stopped to check a fellow idiot I see most mornings who was pulled up in a la-yby, he'd also been having a few problems with freezing fog. Worse for him as he was wearing glasses, they looked like opaque glass :worried:
Got into work with my front covered in a layer of frost and ice.
All day the fog was freezing in the air.
On the way back it was just the same except the frost was being blown off the trees, thought it was starting to snow.
At least I got the bike home and didn't end up walking again :biggrin:

Oh the monster was perfectly happy :thumbsup:
