Not true to claim it as a failure, it was successful but I edited it to delete the photo rather than take up unnecessary bandwidth !!

:spin::spin:

That was going to be my next question. I had a play around with the photo, trying to get it to appear directly but couldn't find a way. Rac3r seems able to do it if you look in the for sale section. I think we need to ask him.

The photo' is on photobucket and the linkey is copied from there, so why no photo?

Is it possible to post photos rather than links without using a host such a Photobucket or Flickr?

Yes you can but photo has to be hosted somewhere - like a website found via google

so a picture plucked from this webpage article...

http://www.moto-station.com/article8968-speciale-une-ducati-monster-chopper-.html

which produces the link below using right clicking + picture properties + cut/paste

http://www.moto-station.com/ttesimages/motodivers/speciales/Ducati_Monster_Chopper_stpz.jpg

produces the photo below if [url] file tags swapped for tags

Ooooh, I was so nearly tempted to fit pod filters after seeing that.
Its just so much less cluttered with the airbox gone.

That looks like the same year/model as my bike.
Same charger socket fitted too, ...which leads me to say....
I fitted mine on slightly longer cables, to a homemade bracket just in front of the handlebar clamps. Then you can use the same socket to connect a pair of those wrap-around hot-hand thingies (and remove them v quickly and easily too).
I'd fit heated grips, but I hate the extra full-time wiring clutter, whereas these can hang in the shed most of the time.
Much easier to connect the charger with the socket there too.

Hi Gary,
I hadn't tried out the direct link before as I didn't have a photobucket account. I recently set one up and have posted a couple of links elsewhere and thought I'd try it out here as well.
Maybe I should have used a Duke photo instead of my Thruxton Venom.

Cheers

Eeek! Why did it come out so huge? Any solution to that apart from taking smaller (file sized) pictures?

You can reduce the size of your images using free software. I use irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com/). Tis bostin

That looks very smart, are you going to ride it and get it dirty sometime? Makes my M900 look like a poor cousin.

:-) I do ride it and do get it dirty...very dirty in fact. It's just that I do like keeping it clean too, and I find 'cleaing time' therapeutic... :-D
