It's not that far to Silverstone from Arrow Mill (and a lovely ride if you go cross-country via Banbury)... we could always make it the Saturday ride-out activity and visit, even if its just as spectators?

Your so right Jen, the road from Stratford-on-Avon to Banbury is a cracker and then cross over the M40 and on to the welsh lane which bypasses Brackley (another good road but watch out for the gatso) and then the A43 to silverstone, a really good rideout from the mill.

Max's face looks innocently happy in the pic.
Rossi looks like he's just put a drawing pin on Max's seat for when he sits back down.

I kinda like both.

Well max is a bit red in the face.

Judging by the smirk on Valentino's face I would say it was a classic case of..

"Eeh Max squezza mah hend" Brrrap!!! :didge:

That's correct, a similar thread will be going up on here later today, received confirmation last night. Prices to follow in the new year. Tying to find out whether you'll be able to book through the club(s) or dealers only.

I have a 'gut' feeling that we may not be that lucky with the Weekender and Silverstone at the same time. Me thinks it'll be the weekend before as on and after ArrowMill its TT for 2 weeks..

I have booked two nights at the Silverstone Travelodge (3 miles from circuit) for £30 per night for a family room. Yippee!

It's the weekend before Arrow Mill Samie, DUK put it in black and white this week.
This is probably a good thing as they'll want almost certianly want club stands in the paddock, with bikes on display etc. which would be a bit hard to organise if the 'doers' in the club are all at the Mill.

Further release to the original one at the start of this thread:

They have booked Silverstone circuit for 21/22 May

Prices will be fixed in the New Year.

Ducati UK have booked 2 circuits for the Saturday, National and Southern (2 halves of Moto GP Circuit) where Ducati Coaching will take place, with plenty of track time and a chance for even the most experienced rider to improve their skills with the top coaches from Superbike School Ltd and if they can teach a WSBK or Moto GP rider a thing or two then I’m sure some of us will be keen to learn from them!

On the Sunday we have the full Moto GP circuit, where they can practice what they have learnt! One to One coaching will be available for those wishing to continue their education, and plenty of track time is available on both days

Spaces will be limited and as interest has been very high DUK will be selling 2 day tickets first (prices tbc) as this will be a weekend not to be missed for any Ducati fan. With Garages allocated to weekend guests first.

Plenty will be happening in the paddock for Riders and Non riders alike, from full race technical support to a learn to ride on a Ducati area. As well as stands from our suppliers and friends of the brand, so plenty to do and see over the weekend.

would it possible to be just a spectator at this event?

slob
02-01-2011, 02:48 PM
Absolutely... the trackday(s) will be only be a small part of a huge weekend.
There'll be thousands of Ducatisti enjoying the whole thing. I imagine a bit like a mini WDW or similar.
Speak to your nearest Ducati dealer for booking and I'll post any more info as it comes in.
