Stripping down bike over winter, loads of work to do. Has anyone ever painted the Rad and/or Oil cooler on the S4R? can it be done. If so how did you prep it and with what paint?

I used the Eastwood radiator paint from Frosts to paint my oil cooler last spring, very happy with the result.

I used satin black engine enamel from halfords. Seems to be ok but then I don't use the bike if it's wet. Or cold. Or cloudy. You can get a pack of paint preparation wipes to use on the surface prior to painting. They are a good idea.

Do we get any others in the UK?

Sometimes we get some sunny days when there is little chance of rain. On those days I am usually at work unfortunately. That said, my 2004 bike has clocked up over 17,000 miles so it does get used. Not much per year on average I grant you.
