The quiz is back! I know, I know, you all missed the quizmaster!

Now, those that have seen the answers already in Italy are not allowed, you know who you are!;)
1 point for correct answer, 2 points for interesting stuff (inherent to the questions..)

Who was the last Englishman to win a 500 GP Championship?
What does SPO stands for in an 888?
What was the engine size of the legendary Paul Smart at Imola ’72?
Which unique engine displacement has a 916 SPS?
How many Ducati have been named after locations?

No prize this time around as I still pi**ed off about the F1, MotoGP and SBK..

Ooo oooo I know this.

Damn I was in Italy so can't answer, if I'd known that the trip would preclude me from entering I wouldn't have gone, yeah right.

Cheers
Stuart

Might be worth having a look ref the last question;)

That's why I had the question marks:)

1. Bazzer, ..bless him.
2. Dunno.
3. Oooh yes. The bloke I bought my Laverda from had flogged that to buy a replica. Had it up on a lift in his workshop when I went round to try and sort the jetting for the road. He had an ally block about a foot long, with pairs of every possible main jet for the Amal ..concentrics (?) ,which the Laverda had. And a bridgeport !! I was seriously, ..and justifiably impressed. The Laverda was still a pig afterwards if you weren't in the mood though. One reason why I don't intend to chase performance on my monster.
Anyway, ...I can't remember. Go on then....860. I feel it may have been 110 less though.
4. Dunno.
5. Dunno.

Its not the winning, ...its the taking part.

The answers still standing, however I've got an extra double question for you!

David Matthews

Don't know;)What I know is that a 944 displacement kit was available for 2Vs

Kato

916 SPA - was a USA homologation special and was 955cc

SPA = Società per Azioni

So, with incredible ruthlessness Kato wins, with 12 right answers, followed by Giler with 9 points (2 extra points awarded for the Imola question, you deserve that!
Kato also got the 916 SPA question right.
The Sport production America was a limited run of 50 955-engined 916 to satisfy minimum number rules in the states. Most of them were imported in the USA and then re-shipped abroad. Few, if any, were actually raced..
Well done and thanks to those who partecipated1
