I have a waterproof jacket that I have owned for a year or four it was blue and white when I got it but its now blue and grey due to road dirt etc.
Can these jackets be cleaned to look like new ? can I just pop it in the washing machine ? will it still be waterproof after ?
Sorry to ask a silly question but I cannot read the labels on it.(worn away). The jackets in great condition just very dirty.

Washing machine - Try it, If it is no longer waterproof the you can get waterproof spray for tents etc to re-cover, Go Outdoors or similar.:)

If it's a textile waterproof material don't wash it with normal detergent and fabric conditioner use Nikwash followed by a wash-in waterproofer also using the washing machine.

I haven't used this particular supplier, it was just the first that came up in the search!

And don't remember run a short wash cycle to wash the washing machine first with something like fairy flakes NOT detergent.

WHAT buy a new one :eyepopping: You know me better than that... I re-soled my bike boots as they had worn out in only 8years.
Also the dayglow jacket maybe a bit loud with my new dayglow lid.
