when they were high level people didnt like them ! the reason for going low again is new eu emission laws,so as catalytic converters get bigger and heavier they need to be lower as the center of gravity gets effected.plus to be more efficent they need to be closer to to manifold as well.expect to see next years superbike with low level exhausts as well. Which is all pointless as we just throw them away and put termis on any way !

I prefer them like this, for a set of standard cans they look OK, and way better than any of the low level jap bike cans that we've seen recently.

Well the m1100s is/was £9750 but that was Ohlins and m1100 was £8250. Factor in the ABS at around £500 . I reckon it will be close on the same price around £9500 or slightly dearer.
100hp is only 1 down from 916 s4 4V.

Think you're going to be proved right. just a smidge under £10k by the time you ride it away.

Mine will be a collector's item now :woot:

Which is why I have been hard at it to give mine some attitude. So far all that I originally hated has now been changed. Im nearly there and then these come along. Alas they dont have the open clutch which may be a good thing but some will miss it. Those awful footrest hangers are gone too.

and about the same as my 1000DS... which if you ask me still looks better than the new Monsters (with poss exception of yours Albie as it looks great in the recent pics!)

Can't say I'd be rushing out to buy a New Monster if I was bike shopping. Now a Streetfighter has some possibilities, nothing like a barking mad engine in a naked frame

Got to agree with Pedro, besides I've already got more bhp than that in my oldschool M900

Well I thank you for that. Seriously means a lot.

I wonder what they could really get out of the 1100 if they tried hard.

Hmm streetfighter 848 and plumbing. That old chestnut ....

This is the exhaust I want or similar. One day but that would cost me what my ss is nearly worth.

wow the pipes on the monster in Albies link are awsome(but cost more than my monster is worth)
I am still thinking a 796 would be a good choice for me. hope they dont start messing with that next.

Would be good to get rid of the decat pipework on the Monster though.

The bike thats in Albie's link was in the garage contest at WDW, the paint job was fantastic...:eyepopping: Don't let young Bex see that exhaust system...:hissy:

Albie, I bet you could get similar exhausts custom made for half that price. It will only take 5 minutes to send out an email to a few different custom shops to get a quote.

P.s they do look good.

£8995. Traction control (4 modes) and abs. New exhausts give the extra 5hp. No more 1100 Monsters except this model - it seems the S was too expensive to shift.
